Aniridia
Aniridia is a rare eye condition present at birth which leads to the lack on an iris in the eyes. As the function of the iris is to restrict the amount of light which enters the eye, people with Aniridia need tainted spectacles or special contact lenses when going outside.
Aniridia is associated with many other health problems, especially development of the retina at the back of the eye. It is also associated with other eye conditions such as: nystagmus, glaucoma, corneal disease, cataract, lens subluxation and optic nerve disease.
